Leading up to the day of the gathering, we asked participants to reflect on a single question and then to dig deep to formulate their response. What they composed would be shared among the small group so that everyone could gain insight into the varied perspectives on a single topic—that topic being foundational to what the gathering would be focused on.

  • How do you define compassion?

  • Describe a time in your life when compassion resulted in a breakthrough moment.

We have developed a unique perspective on visualizing what it takes to execute a gathering [process] that is both efficient and effective, while making space for organic integrations [facilitation]. This perspective has been forged through our work with the complexity families face at the intersection of their human, intellectual and financial capital.

Guiding principles, include:

  • Be present - avoid distractions

  • Default to empathic position

  • Assume positive intent of others

  • Participate actively/respect equal voice

  • Respect different communications and learning styles

What your peers are saying.

“Top notch content, organization, facilitation and thoughtful people to engage with. All around wonderful.”

“I thought the format of the call was excellent; I really enjoyed the balance between presentation and participatory discussion and thought that the facilitators did a great job keeping everyone engaged.”

“Of all of the Zoom discussions I have joined over the last 6 months, this one was by far one of the most connected. I felt that everyone was focused, engaged, and actively listening. I imagine this is a reflection both of the participants and presenters as well as the content, but I think it also has to do with the structure. I liked the "popcorn round," which kept people on their toes, and appreciated the ground rules ahead of time which set a really important tone for the conversation.”
